With Regret

It is with deep regret that I have to cancel the Unplug’d Scotland event.

Registration numbers have been below 20 and with a few people not being able to make it, it seems that going ahead with less than 20 people isn’t a good use of time and resources.

I’m not sure why registration numbers haven’t been higher.  Perhaps timing of the April holiday, perhaps a remote location, perhaps a lack of understanding of what a retreat to discuss and really unpack education today is really all about.  Perhaps just a lack of me having the right contacts to spread the idea with not being in UK very long.

I won’t pretend I’m not horribly disappointed, I was really looking forward to spending a weekend away with some of the most amazing people I know, but it seems it is really not meant to be.

On Monday I’ll be contacting the Firbush Center hoping to get a refund on the deposit of the center.  I’ll pass along any deposits/sponsorship funding paid by people at that point, it is all still sitting in the paypal account.

Thanks to everyone for their support.
